Welcome to the official home page of the digital domain online radio show, a comedy show reminiscent of those done at the camp eluded to above. It is broadcast
on Fridays at 7 Eastern.
Who we are
We are a few crazy and insane people who call ourselves "The Nut Hut Crew" who inflict our insanity on the listening audience, each and every week, all lead by two people, Nick G and Bob Sarnowski, who are the ones who sit in the studio hosting the show for you, week in, week out.
What we do
Our AIM is to make you laugh. Whether it be through bits done by our cast of characters, through rants done by a member of the Nut Hut Crew, or through a funny third-party bit we like to play, your laughter is our purpose. So tune in, Fridays at 7, for the digital domain online radio show. If you can't make it, at least make the effort to tune into the archives.
On this show, we went an hour and change extra. We geared up for the Battle of the bad which would take place the day after the show is recorded, explored some prank calls, heard some mixing news from the WDGLFM Studios (after a false start), and wondered what Tampa Bay Lightning voice Dave Mishkin would sound like calling famous North American sports events. None of that comes close, however, to what occured in the last hour, when a listener from Ghana named Kofe Quame called into the show and proceeded to hilariously throw half our listenership under the proverbial bus. This show is a must download!
I'm Nick G, and I want to say that this is one of my top 5 Digital Domains of all time, immediately after it happened. Club Soda Kenny and his security school for hockey people, semi-famous or fully hilarious listeners, and what happens when Shannon nearly sets herself and her house on fire, all make for a real fun way to kill January. Enjoy!
Katrina Cady, or Psycho Lady Hockey, was the main guest on this week's show, where we discover who is the crazier hockey fan, herself or Bob Sarnowski. Katrina also provided us with some content in the form of "The Caps Rap", a hilariously bad fan-created rap about the Washington Capitals. We pick it apart in the Spyrit of "The beanpot trot". There's also a rather pointed attack on puck bunnyism that followed up from Katrina's interview. As a side note, I, Nick G, would like to express personal satusffaction with the way this show turned out, even though there are a few bips, baps, and skips due to another change in setup, which will be temporary.
This show features a few things of note. The first two things you'll notice are the lack of song titles in the archive and the really bad clicking, which can be put to setup troubles that will soon be resolved. The show proper consists of a guest appearance of one crazy Kerri Regan in studio for the first time since 2007, "Fix the Beanpot Trot" by Jeffrey, And the long awaited part 2 of "Schlomo's Bath Party", in which we find out exactly what happened to our four faithful morons after they were sucked down Schlomo's drain. It was a fun way to start out the year, so you should listen.
People can you feel it? Love is everywhere! Between Beth paying off a bet handsomely, talk of threesomes, and the “gun to the head problem” in relation to girls the hosts would “do”, this show is not for the emotionally invested. On the other hand, we had a bit of a South Park invasion, as Kenny showed up during the show for the first time since Circa 2004, though Beth is wanted for criminal charges in relation to that. Kenny was joined by, of all people, Timmy, who was rather chatty as the show went on. Phil Collins also had things to say in relation to Beth’s bet, and proved himself an egomaniac. However, HKC Radio takes no responsibility for any heart attack’s caused by this show. Listen at your own risk!
Hockey was the backdrop to this show, and the central theme, as we celebrated its return the way only we can. Highlights include a Randy Moller reprise, several bits regarding Bruno Gervais, and what happened when a certain erstwhile tech guy visited Islanders Iceworks when Chris Simon was on the team. Things that weren’t hockey-centric include a new promo, that other Bob’s...ahem...liaison, with Keri in WV, and various other insanities. There is a lot going on in this show, so grab it.
This show was taken over by one of Bob’s friends, who called in with some of the scariest radio in recent memory on this station. Suggestion...You don’t want to listen to this particular show around anyone with high risk of stroke.
The first three hours were pretty good technically, and some funny radio, featuring everything from Speech synthesizers to loud guitar amps, with some reflection thrown in. Some of our finest radio is included herein. However, the last hour is choppier than burger meat, but in the interest of giving it to you exactly as it was heard, it is available here, preserved.
Between constant coverage of the NHL entry Draft, the Swedish chef’s attempt to cull the recipe for the now discontinued Fried Mac and Cheese from Friday’s, an amusing YouTube video, clips of the hot tempered baseball manager Tommy Lasorda, discussion of the most recent deaths in entertainment (which do not include Louie Anderson), and discussion of a new metal band featuring former Evanescence musicians, this was a busy, yet enjoyable show.
Losing a Yankees/Mets gentleman’s bet is tough. This one was quite so. I had to pretend that I, Nick G, was madly in love with current Nightwish vocalist Anette Olzon, who I normally hate. It was sprung upon me that I had to envision my quote unquote “dream date” with Olzon, so watch me stammer my way through it, and realize I know less of the local area than I should. Just remember, such things require much more actual planning than this, and that I’m not as daft as all that. There is more to this show than that, though, so listen.
This show picked up where the last left off. While not as blistering of pace, it was probably the smoothest technically in many months, and is, oddly enough, the first domain to take place on the new HKC Radio server, Khan. On this show, we took you through a whistle stop review of the Bruce Springsteen concert we attended on Monday May 4, rehashed clips from the previous week in radio in which Bob was quite drunk, got freaked out by a Within Temptation remix made and sent in by, you guessed it, Alex, listened to the most recent mismatch concert advertisement, have a story you just have to hear to believe about a Long Island Diner that this particular diner fan will never ever visit, and previewed FMyLife.com, thanks to Am. If you liked the previous show, you probably will dig this one.
This show was one where absolutely everything went right. With Jethro and Jed wondering what a Den Adel is, a complaint from one of our British listeners, Ivan Hrvatska, talk of languages and mismatched accents speaking said languages, Nightwish’s vocal change, and oh so much more, this show will keep you at the edge of your seat. It’s no exaggeration to say that it did just that for a record number of listeners. If any show must find its way into your collection, this one is it.
This show featured some rather amusing YouTube Clips provided by our faithful confidante Cris. We also play a piece of audio from earlier in the day, listen to the latest in the “Fix” series produced by Krista, hear from Virtual Trek_West and Virtual JDQuest, and listen to a drunken voicemail that Krista discovered. ‘twas a smooth and solid effort, so there’s no reason not to download it.
Friday the 13th...Was a lucky day for our show. We had loads of stuff, from a follow up from last week re: Alex singing, to a lengthy discussion of death metal (There’s a sign of the apocalypse in said discussion) spawned by DJ Dawg’s valentines day death metal CD, to another attempt at making the unison sweeper that was famously interrupted in 2006, to amusing tracks submitted by the listeners, the domain keeps rolling along. This is another show that is a highly recommended addition to your Digital Domain collection.
Alex...sang. We had a hard time believing it, but it definitely happened. He got a lot of air time, in that he was the subject of quite a bit of discussion. Did we learn some disturbing things about our screen reader loving Conrad? Sonnabend is along to discuss some hard hitting issues that potentially put president Obama in some serious political peril, and the rest of the listeners were ready to provide even more humor if the show got at all dull, which it didn’t. ‘twas a wild show, and a fun one, part of an incredibly fun night overall on HKC Radio.
Welcome to the silly zone! JV Toys is back with a toy that is live in our studio, called virtual Trek_west, which seemed to spawn other manufacturers’ coming out of the woodwork with similar, making for the most laughter we’ve heard in these studios...ever. We dip back into the archives for “Little Nick” clips, and play some Amanda Palmer tracks, keeping up a theme that has been a 2009 mainstay. Coupled with it being one of those comfort level shows technically, this is a must download.
This show had technical problems all over the place. From the mixer to the server, nothing seemed to want to work. We here audio of a Corvette in the second episode of “What is Melanie driving this week”, here about some stuff that you just can’t make up, The final part in the most recent Captain Cough Cough Series, a premier? Of a new movie, and a flash back to a show where a microphone and stand fell on a foot. Enjoy!
Of Ridiculous remixes, Bad Bits, mismatched madness, Speaking Servers, crazy cars, and Garry Giddy, is this episode of the Digital Domain Online Radio Show.
This show shows our obsession with Journey, plays part two of “Captain Cough Cough and the rude Russians”, and we talk to the listeners. It’s quite amusing.
This show pays tribute to one of the greatest comedians ever, George Carlin, who died at 71 that week. We bring you a particularly bad day in the life of loud, drunken sportscaster Scott Ferall, kill nineteen minutes at the end with audio from an impromptu bowling game from the week before, and flash back to a show that shows idiocy at its prime. None of that compares, however, to what happened when Bryan met Melanie...and in so doing, recorded his greatest hit.
This show features my little cousin Joseph, who was in studio throughout. We pick up the global warming talk from where we left off last week, go back five years to a practical joke that was first played on me and, on the air, was played on Canadian Guy, begin a new series of “Captain Cough Cough’s”, welcome Scott Ferall back into the studio, and listen as my cousin plays a video game after the show. Go grab it!
Is it Global Warming, or cooling. Well, you be the judge based on the article we read on this show. We have the premier of a new movie, we go back five years to play the first show I ever did with my old mixer, we listen to Arthur Winthrop revisiting BurstNet, and more than that, trust me, more than that.
This show displayed an unhealthy obsession with Cookie Monster, who called into the show to help fuel said obsession. We hear what happens when Stumpy called a sports bar in Pittsburgh for a supposed promotion that would allow him to have a drink with the Pittsburgh Penguins’ star player. We hear part two of the “Captain Cough Cough” episode involving Steve the Stoner. Mick Kern attempts to do a voiceover with his teeth missing, and we hear what happened when we attempted to hold Auditions for an understudy for the big voice guy. Check it out!
After we replayed the bit from August 18, 2006, where Captain Daniel Hix was judged stoned by us, we find out that he lost his job. Find out how. Also, we replay “Jethro’s guide to picking up women” from last week, and feature a track and an interview with Marissa. Oh, and find out why I, Nick, had to drop and do 20 pushups. Go grab it, you’ll like it.
All I have to say is that well...Bob is Darful’s love slave, Captain Cough Cough Returns, and more. You must want to download the show based on *that* description. This show was reuploaded on July 13, in order to fix a bug that was recently discovered that prevented some players from playing it.
The stars of this show are Arthur Winthrop and Cris’s Mom, Pudge. Arthur Winthrop because he visited BurstNet to talk to Den Adel along with Chuck Lane, and Cris’s Mom for...well...listen and find out. We replayed the Nick and Bob Pee-off also, for those who don’t want to download that monstrosity
This show picked up where last week left off. It was the first show on our own new server, which is now officially called Den Adel. There’s entirely too much stuff in this show, being a two part show, but two of the more lasting bits were the premier of a new super hero, “Captain Cough Cough”, and a self-explanatory bit in part two called “The Nick And Bob Pee-off.” Listen at your own risk.
This show should be featured in an episode of “modern marvels.” As the last episode broadcast from Dimitry, breakage was expected, but aside from phone breakup and me not being able to find something for ten minutes, didn’t come. This might have been the best sounding Digital Domain Online Radio show ever, contributing to one of those nights where almost everything went right. We feature the inaugural HKC Radio Poof Prank, as named by a listener named Derek Lane, wherein we call Gino’s bar...which might be contaminated in more than one way. Club Soda Kenny is back with volume II of his how to security video series, which is amusing to some people, while the replay of Wesley Willis’s song about our old server Cascalya was...not. We have other prank calls by Mr. Macfisto, as well as another brit who we later, off air, found out is named Arthur Winthrop. All of this however almost pails in comparison to what the listeners had in store for us...From the many ways that the word jerk can be used and derived, to interesting stories from the childhoods of listeners as well as our very own Bob Sarnowski, the listeners made this show one of the absolute best in our five and a half year history. Download now!
?Everything should work, everything has been tested to work.? Boy, little did I know what was coming. As the previous week?s show was the last show hosted by one of our most favorite servers to date, Alberta, HKC Radio had to scramble to go...somewhere. This is the first of two Digital Domain?s hosted on Dimitry, a virtual private server provided by the same people who brought us...Cascalya. While the worst of the badness would happen the next day, listen for all of the breakage caused either by myself or Dimitry. Funny parts of this show are the flashback to 2006 where Chuck Lane got to talk to Tank, a short-lived but well-beloved server we were on, as well as a pair of prank phone calls. Oh, and the listeners tend to make these shows funny in ways that can only be heard, so tune in!
It isn’t hard to make a fool of yourself on air...All you have to do is...well...listen to the show and find out what happened to me. We check out the second edition of the Jethro and Jed radio show, this time, recorded on an eight track, and we get serious as we pay tribute to a fallen E-Street band member.

This show could probably be considered one of the weirdest things since the April 13 show of the same year. Features include another advertisement for our favorite shoe company, a bit which never made the archives but was on the show before, and a real live “You Can’t Make This Shit Up” featuring Shannon’s drug dealing friend marry. None of that compares in oddness to a homerun bit, which the “You Can’t Make This Shit Up” lead to, which was funny, even if only one person was meant to get it. If nothing else, listen for Bob and Cris isolations, because there are a lot of them, folks!
This show is a nod to the old days, prior to the internet. We celebrate the five year anniversary of HKC Radio by showing you where it all began, from the fields at Farmingdale to the primitive 2002 studios.
Words are sometimes spared in describing these shows...But when all one can say about certain episodes is...”What the Hell”...then one is required filler text...Articulation cannot describe just how odd this edition is, so take a risk and listen for yourself.
This is the Digital Domain Online Radio show where “something’s always bound to brake.” It did in spades. The highlights were the new Crash in bit, and some phone calls on the new phone patch solution, which is the one thing that broke least. The payback for the Yankee Met bet where Bob and Cris were supposed to take over Rock Radio Redefined was supposed to happen, and it tried...It tried its hardest...But everything everywhere broke. However, someone listened, so why shouldn’t you?
This is what happens when the New York Islanders are on the brink of elimination in the stanley cup playoffs...and we’re supposed to do a show on the same day. Fun...Listen at your own risk.
This show was brought to you by Skype, and technical problems. It went from “Oh No” to “What the hell” as Don Imus, the radio Dj who was fired that week, came on the air. The show took a turn for the scary, as some of our friends from the Nut Hut and otherwise called in…and…well, you’ll find out the rest. Listen at risk to your sanity.
This, one of the darkest editions of the Digital Domain Online Radio Show Ever, went from one end of the mood spectrum to the other. Suffice it to say, I, Nick G, will never forget this episode.
This show was “the kinder, gentler show,” notice the quotes. My good friend Chris, no, not Cris or trek_west, was a guest in studio, where we had Jack Nickolson on as a phoner and did some interesting “zoo radio” related stuff. Fans of the archive intro...Sorry, I’ve had issues with this one.
Jethro...and Jed...Broadcasting. Yep, we heard that on this show, and it really disturbed us. Valentines day chatter abounded, and we found out how Steve the Stoner could drive me nuts. Find out what happens when we send our crazy characters up to Canada to audition for XM Home Ices update segment, and more.
This show sees Schlomo Goldstean requesting a song that Cris’s obsessed with, and a song which I have because she forced it upon me. Overall, the show was pretty solid, and became almost vintage sounding when Cris fell asleep during the show. What fun.
Our “friends” at a certain stress relief institute have decided to come up with another product that “relieves” stress. Find out what that is. Another one of our “friends” calls from the toilet, Wesley Willis has a new song about an emo artist, and we play a new game featuring yours truly.
Screwed up sponsors, freaky friends, and broken bits fill this freaky fun-filled fair, and of course, this alliteration-filled dumb description. I’m in a weird mood tonight.
Find out just how absent-minded Chris can be, listen to Evil barny attempt to be an ankle surgeon, listen to some commentary about the Nut Hut New years eve party, and the usual zaniness that goes on on a live Digital Domain show.
This show, among other things, features the premier of anew sweeper, Steve from Yellowstone, Evil Barny braking the boss, Tails from the coliseum, some great tracks, and a call by Glenn. Its a good all around show.
This show features Heather Hutchison, of www.heather-hutchison.com, as an on the spot interview. An interesting tidbit. Right out of the gate when this show commenced broadcast, I, Nick, got Instant messages left, right, and center. This show began what would be called one of the finest nights in HKC Radio history.

There is no archive. I can almost call it deliberate. There'll be a major, major change. Next month, get ready.
